A long time huh?

So this is Amie now. I changed my shape some time back and I like it but I think it makes me look bitchy LOL.

Very busy rl lately, got a full time library job woot woot. So that takes up most of my time.

Anyway just wanted to say Hi and let you know I'm still lurking around the blogs. I may be getting a new computer soon so might have more time for SL since the laptop won't do SL (well at least I think so don't you need fancy graphics card?)

Ahh another note....

I know I haven't been online for a while b/c well I moved in w/ the SO and been doing other things. I have been logging on at least once a week. I think before this we had a pretty good relationship I was a daily logging in person for over a year and only stopped b/c my computer decided it wanted to die.

Anyway is me not logging on the reason you are slowly making my inventory disappear? First it was my shape THAT I WAS WEARING ok fine it was the skirt shape I molded but hmm I had been wearing it for months. Then the other day my favorite boots were missing and now today the hair I WAS WEARING is missing in every shade except the one I was wearing. Umm hello you think I enjoy what I'm wearing. why can't you make the ugly freebie clothes that are still in my inventory somewhere disappear. but NOOOOOOOO. It's bad enough none of my hair seems to look nice on me anymore (horrendous bald spots everywhere) but know things are going poof.

I'm clearing my cache hopefully that will work b/c I'm sure there's other things missing that I don't know :(

You are making things easier though for me to go f* you!

That's right this day deserves a caps title.

IT'S MY REZ DAY!! 2 YEARS BABY.

So yeah and I spent most of my 2nd year away from the game and I'm not on it much anymore, it just happened I was on today and remembered.

last year on my rez day I was working at Franks and living in my cabin that I decorated for fall/halloween. I met a few great friends and was having fun.

I wonder what the average time people spend in sl.

LOL such a downer, here's a picture of me today on my 2nd rez day. I was going to take a pretty picture somewhere in sl but I kept crashing so it's my house.

Hot right I know, this is the only hair that seems to rez on me. I have popped on here and there the past week to do the season's hunt and the cute hair from Tiny Bird will not rez on me for some reason, who the hell knows why.

So all in all a rather uneventful rez day for Amie.

I still remember my first day in SL-getting asked by a guy if his tattoos looked awesome, getting for asked for 'the sex' by some dude who didn't speak english, dressing in awful awful clothes that I scored for free, hanging out on Job Island getting free lindens from dancing and stalking a money tree-ahh fun fun.

In the early days I fell in love w/ Icing and my free shoes from Tesla, saved for some glasses and went to some really great events involving libraries (the whole reason why I joined sl). I went to music shows at the Gaslight and danced at Phat Cat's.

I don't regret one moment I've had in SL and have loved everyone I have met :)

Haven't been in SL much lately. I figure I might as well just keep my rent until I run out of money in my account. I would recommend to all noobs to get a job in sl, if you are a cheap ass like me you will be swimming in the lindens. Sure I buy clothes every once in a while but freebies and dollarbies are a favorite of mine. I really only spend money on hair. It's how you live your SL I guess. Anyway from working at Franks for about 8 months I was swimming in Lindens and since I rent places where 400 was my max weekly I saved up a whole bunch so now I'm job free and don't have to put rl amie money into SL for now at least.

Anyway rl update I bought a car (first big purchase!), am moving in w/ the significant other and don't really have much time for SL. The comp. at the S.O. house doesn't like SL or haven't dl'd it mostly (maybe the S.O. doesn't like mostly :P) So since I spend 4 days here and there there I don't log in a lot. Plus I found a new game to be addicting to-SUPER POKE PETS. It's the stupidest thing ever, lame really but it keeps me occupied. The S.O. calls it the lame turtle game. Google it if you want to-spp not lame turtle game although something may pop up.

So where does this leave amie...well hell yeah I'm logging in for Belleza gifts b/c as I said earlier I'm super cheap and those skins are expensive :) Ivalde gifts are lovely, if Free Speerit ever comes back or Alchemy (does anyone remember that store, cutest things there), or ETD LOL I'll be the first there. Gotta wash my clothes somewhere so the parent's computer will have SL on it still.

If sl loaded my prims nicely maybe I would play more...

Yup hot right? Grr my glasses and shoes are not rezzing my bed is funky. I liked the second viewer somewhat b/c I seemed to crash less but is this what I'm getting now. Horrible.

Why is there huge bald spots on my head when I wear hair that I have worn numerous times in the past so I know they don't belong there?

Why do my glasses look like I don't have a nose guard when the pictures on blogs make the glasses look normal?

Why don't my boots suddenly show my cankles when they haven't in the past 2 weeks I have been wearing them?

Why am I sticking around with you?

I downloaded 2.1 and have been having so much trouble with it. Things aren't rezzing, things look horrible, my prims suck-my rent ends in 19 days it might the end of Amie in SL. Things haven't been the same since I came back in June. I have 19 days to decide, well more than that but I just need to decide if I want to keep my house or become a log on once in a while person.

Ivalde's new gift

Have I told you I love Ivalde, I so do. I have since Noob days. I found Ivalde's outlet room purchased a cute outfit for a linden and I was hooked. For the past few months Ivalde has been giving out group gift, dresses for free heck ya!!

July's gift called Ellie reminded me of going on a picnic so I put on my dress put on my cowboy boots and tried to find a place that had a picnic blankets (that were not romantic apparently the thing to do in sl is take a date on a picnic so they all had couple poseballs).

I found a grill perfect for grilling burgers :)

And sat at the picnic table enjoying it

And finally I just sat and enjoyed the view

I logged in tonight to find a bunch of messages from the store ur.favorite.one. I found out about this store during the Gacha festival. It has cute flowery and girly clothes. Anyway the new store is super cute so I had to snap a pic of me on a swing.

How is it that the grass looks awesome but I look washed out LOL sigh damn crappy graphics card.

Anyway the store is cute and cheap so check it out. Sorry haven't been in much of SL/blogging mood lately. I did finally get into Truth though and my adorable is one of my purchases.

I've just been in a funk lately. I still haven't found a full time job and the library I work keeps jerking me around so getting a bit tired of it all. I know the economy will turn around someday (me trying to be hopeful b/c at least I have a job even if I work less than 20 hours a week SIGH!)

I wake to a nc from Truth saying they are having a sale. Awesome right? If I could ever get into the sim. Oh well it goes until Sept. 9 so I should be able to get there sometime. At least the stuff never sells out. There goes all my money. I have like 6 months of hair releases I missed when my computer went crazy.

I haven't in sl much this week, it's just one of the times where I get bored of it all and don't feel like doing anything.

So bumming around SL tonight I found a rather sad place called Perpetual Sunset, Well melancholy maybe. There's not much to the place. There's some spots to sit and books around the island that you can read. The place is black and gray mostly. There's also quotes around the island.

I can see someone coming and sitting after they broke up with someone.

Hey all-

Vacation was lots of fun, very hot, but fun. Glad to be back home :)

Anyway a store I found back in noob times is closing :( I wish I could tell you how I stumbled upon Jill but I don't remember. I remember stalking lucky boards for this.

And this (and yeah I'm SURE it fit that badly back then LOL)

Well anyway somewhere down the line I dropped the group who knows I blame LL (25 group limit) and I just forgot about the store.

The store is closing tomorrow Aug. 11. You still can join the group and get some free gifts-LOTS of gifts, shirts, bracelets, pants, dresses, tons of them.

I thought the girl next to me was a giant, which she was but she was standing on a couch.

and maybe buy something everything is 50% off I got this pretty dress for 45L.

And hell yeah I'm to lazy to tp somewhere for artsy pics, love my house :)

In other random thoughts-should I be flattered that every live act I see sings Amie? Sigh yeah it was super duper cool the first 100 times. LOL, I tip quite a bit but sometimes I just go to shows and do other things on the computer and not pay attention but after the song I feel obligated to tip. Maybe I just show up the same people.

I have a bit of a headache so this will be short.

Since I'm going on vacation tomorrow to the largest roller coaster park in the world!! I went to one in SL called Prim Hearts (I think I actually went to the place way back in noob times). I was looking for a roller coaster but didn't find one but the log ride is pretty close

Hey hey two days until vacation :)

I got these really cute capris from Tutti Frutti from a Gacha 50L per chance. They are so adorable but they do show a bit butt crack which I'm little self conscience about but they are do dang cute.

I found the most gorgeous place today. If you have a special someone go there. It's called nostos deer. It has an area where it's raining and the music playing reminded me a film where the two characters FINALLY get together and kiss, so romantic. My craptastic picture doesn't do it justice b/c raining at night is so pretty. There's not much else there and you will have to fight w/ the noobs since it is on the destination list but so pretty.

Anyway, my cute hat and hair was 10L at the Car Wash sale. It's from Nevermore and La Boheme. They are having a sale where everything is 10L or less. Artileri and Ingenue is there also check it out. The hat has 18 different color change.

I also tried to hit the Gacha Festival but it was so packed nothing rezzed. Will have to go back.

Before my computer went to computer heaven (moment of silence.............) I was doing a picture of the day that I stole from other blogs, who I can't tell you I'm off my I check this blog religiously thing since I can't remember what blogs I did read except for a few.

So anyway since I'm not online every day (mainly the weekends) I will post pics when I do go online.

So here's today's pic reading by the cozy fire that got half cut off LOL. Don't ask me how I got the rug but it's from FD Decor. There is some cute stuff there and it's low prim too.

Oh and yeah same outfit from yesterday-LAZY I know. There are some days I change 80 times and other times where I will wear the same thing for a couple days-don't judge it's cute.

I was sorting through furniture while decorating my house and found some cute things I had. I was sad to see an old furniture place Sommerfeld's is no where to be seen. Oh well. I was also sad that I lost an ottoman from there that was adorable when my stuff got sent to me from the old place after I went AWOL from SL. Oh well so I lost stuff that wasn't copy and such. An really cute flower chair too that I stumbled upon at a store that sold clothes but had some furniture. What it was called I have no clue. Oh well I could have lost a lot more.

I'm going away next week on a mini vacation to the largest roller coaster place in the world (in the US maybe) so I'm excited!! And summer reading is ending this week at the library so hopefully it will be less busy.

Hey hey, here's my new house.

Small and cozy and naturey. You can't see it but the shirt I have on it really cute but doesn't seem to fit right and I HATE adjusting things so....it may look a bit crooked eh whatever. I got it from SwanSong (I hope the slurl works, dang second viewer) which I found on the Good Sh@t hunt a few weeks back. Too cute they are having a 50% sale that may have ended already but I got the dress/shirt for 140L.

I tried taking a closer pic but sl is being a pain and not letting me email my pics now so I died when I try to save them and now they wont email to me-ah did I tell you that I love you Linden Labs.

Eh so I did a print screen, here is my badly darkened pic. of my shirt, tunic, think it's called a kaftan shirt I got from Swansong, cute right?

Oh and my headbands in the past 3 pictures have been from Tiny's Bird's Gacha, so if you got some you want to trade....LOL I have like 5 of the same color.

Oh bad blogger Amie bad blogger.

I only lasted 3 days for the blogger challenge. SL still crashes for me when I try to save a picture to my desktop which sucks a lot, so I haven't taken any pictures. I will be getting photoshop again soon so my pictures may not look half bad from hitting print screen. Stupid SL. I should just dl the old viewer again.

In SL news, so much lag-tastic stuff at the summer of Love thingy. Spent to much lindens. My favorite buy was a pair of flower shoes (insert pic here if sl wasn't a pain). They are so cute.

I again have a house. I thought I could go w/o one but changing and rezzing stuff in the public is a pain. The house is small and just 75 prims but cheap and good for now since I'm only online a few days a week.

Well hopefully my picture pain will end soon b/c blogs w/ just words are boring LOL. Just wanted to say I'm alive to my oh 7 followers :)

Oh and hey does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying typing gesture. I have it turned off on my ao but that just makes me type w/ one hand. I don't know if it's different w/ the second viewer.

Hmm I think I may answer both briefly

How hard do you think it is to find a relationship in SL? If you have an SL relationship, have you met in the physical world? Would you meet them? Do you think it would change your SL relationship if you met?

I didn't know how much SL was a gigantic online dating service until I joined. Well it seems to be mostly an online what bam thank you ma'am. The very first person who I talked to in SL wanted to have the sex you know. The second person asked me if I liked his tattoos, lol. I had a boyfriend when I joined SL and still do so I never looked for a hubby. Sure I like to talk to intelligent people which includes males and I like to dance with them also but that where it ends.

From what I can see if I was single and looking in SL I don't know if it would be hard. I've met some really great sweetheart guys so I guess I could do it.

My romantic heart would quiver if I met someone in SL, met them and married them b/c I read stories (Banana) and it sounds so romantic. But I know if I would do it.

Would you start a relationship with someone you met online? Would you have a problem telling people that's where you met? Do you think it's easier to meet someone online rather than at work or at a club?

I think I might start a relationship w/ someone I met online. Way back in my teen years I met someone in a chat room about U2. He was a sweetheart, we would email all the time. Then one day my mom found out and chewed me out so I freaked out changed my email and don't talk to him anymore. In a way it may have been a good thing b/c I was just 18 and yeah he probably was an 18 year old also but who knows. That is why I don't share much w/ people I meet in SL.

I don't think I would have a problem telling people after I met them. Before as I said above I think the family may not like it.

I think it may be easier to meet someone online b/c at first you talk behind the screen. People may be more open to share information. You may feel more comfy around them.

SL Bloggers - Write about three positive things going on in your Second Life.

Hmm well since I've been away for some time... I think this may be what I like about SL mostly

1-I'm actually back in SL :). My computer more or less died in Dec. I could still use it but pretty much if I signed on it would die, then it would just die at random this went on for months. I stopped using it only to hop on every so often to check email. In April and after a new Belleza skin was released I got itchy and hopped back online only to have my computer completely break down in the middle of April so I'm back online now.

2-I love seeing live acts. These people are fantastic, sometimes far better than half the stuff that is on the radio now. Why certain people get to sing and be famous while these people are just in SL is beyond me. but at least they get to sing to the public.

3-All the fantastic places in SL. I can travel to Greece, Italy, Paris, New York in minutes. It is so awesome. The places look fantastic.

Nice blog title.
So here we go again.

Question 1- Why did you become a blogger? How has it enriched your life?

Hmm I started a RL blog probably way back in 2003 to post complaints about rl I remember someone telling me how pretentious a person has to be to start a blog b/c who the hell would want to read what YOU wrote. Which is true but my rl blog was for me mostly if someone stumbled upon it well they probably wouldn't know who wrote it. Anyway my sl blog was started to show some cool places to go in SL. This started off slowly and then it turned into a picture a day blog, and then my computer broke and I stopped using SL for 6 months. Anyway the blog is probably mostly for me to remember things I have done in SL, the ugly clothes I probably wore and so on. Do I expect people to read it...no b/c I think I'm pretty boring LOL. I also take really bad pictures and since my last computer ate my free photoshop I got in school my pictures are even worse :)

Has it enriched my life? Probably not, is that bad. I just like to ramble about stuff go back month later and laugh at myself.

All right I wrote enough since I'm watching the Food Network Chocolate Coaster challenge I need some chocolate and have to get ready for True Blood which is coming on in a bit :).

Oh one more thing-if I try to save a picture to my computer SL will crash Why why why? LOL I feel like such a noob it took me forever today to figure out how to teleport with a landmark and if I had a landmark in a nc it saved it no I don't a lm to Truth I'm just to lazy to search my inventory and since I have a nice nc...

Is everyone else having (or had) as much trouble as I am. I feel so dumb.

Well guess who finally got a new computer :) I've had it for a few weeks now but had not gotten into SL until 2 days ago. I downloaded the new viewer since I figured i would probably eventually have to do it and yeah let me tell you I feel like a noob.

The one thing I can't stand-not being able to use the arrow keys to see the front of Amie, b/c if I remember correctly I could do that with the old viewer. Also I can't search anything, can't upload a picture and have no clue how you can tell if you can rez boxes (I'm homeless gotta dress somewhere). Sigh. Here's a new picture though.

Not very good, The textures seem to suck everywhere. Sigh sigh sigh.

Feeling Springy

It's been so nice in rl by me the past 2 days I want it to stay, but living in the midwest means snow could still come and 30 degree weather :)

I have been bumming around for the past few days going to old favorite stores and surprised to see a lot of them different. This was taken at Festivale which is completely different than from back in Dec. It's really pretty I like it a lot.

It's so weird being back, some friends booted me from their lists and my old house is sadly being lived in by someone else (which of course is not a surprise). I even got booted from Calla's profile picks or something today guess I didn't update a landmark. Oh such an emo post.

I love this girly shirt which was a group gift from Reale a long time ago. I got some new clothes over the past week and what do I put on a super old one :)

My RL is going all right. I got my diploma in the mail this week. I've had a few interviews but no bites yet. I had a second interview at a place but unfortunately didn't get that job.

For a bit at least....

Yeah horrible picture LOL. It looks like I'm running. I did change out of my outfit from the last picture from way long ago with my Magika x-mas hair. Love my Free Speerit skin.

So my computer is still dying or doing whatever it's doing but it goes weeks without clicking and dying so I figured what the hey I'll try dling sl again and seeing if my computer handles it. So I logged on once yesterday for a bout 5 minutes and like 15 today. I don't know where to go though. I started off at Ivalde since my home is no longer my home (tear) and don't have a home base anymore. And then I tp'd to Icing, that's where my picture is at.

So you may see me online from time to time trying to get my feet back into the sl world. But if I disappear again well you know why. Although I know once the computer dies for good there is no way I can be without one for a long period of time. I almost wish it would die for good. I feel like I'm being one of those people who go I'm quitting SL, no I'm not, yes I am for good this time, nope back again. I'm not doing it on purpose :)

Sooo......... so much drama lately in sl and rl.

Banana hun I'm sorry your hurting, for someone I only talked to over a blog and the occasion im (which I think were all offline) and who I never met in world I feel for you. Maybe one day when I shell out the money for a new computer and if you are still inworld we can meet and talk. As much as rl amie tries to keep rl things out of sl, her concern about everyone tends to pop up.

And Middleton (which I believe your name is??) sorry for you too :( Both of you actually read my blog and were really kind.

Ok no more sadness. So RL has been busy b/c yeah apparently I can have a life w/o SL. As you know I graduated grad school in Dec. so the job search has been frantic, have a few job interviews in the next few weeks. So hopefully a full time job will come soon.

As for sl, I miss it but it's becoming less and less. I try to not read blogs b/c they make me sad, I don't want to read about the new hunt or the new Truth hairs. Though let me tell you I was dreaming of the belleza gift skin when I saw it on the feeds I was like my computer can handle me jumping online and placing in my inventory for my eventual return. But I didn't. I have a feeling I won't be back for like 2 years and will be walking around in my cool belleza skin that is two years too old LOL.

Hey hey, hope everyone had a great holiday season. I'm currently writing through my bro's wii b/c my computer is dying a slow death. I was told my hard drive is going. So yeah.

I haven't been inworld in like 3 weeks. Do I miss it, yes. Am I enjoying rl-yes. So it's bittersweet I don't know when i'll be back:( (watch the show Glee if you haven't.)

I didn't get my laptop for xmas b/c my parents don't know what to get, like I do... any suggestions please. Basically what graphics should I have to feed my sl addiction.

Ahh a picture of Toby floating in mid air-this is what I saw when I tp'd back into my house today. I don't understand him at all.

Is it wrong to say that I think I look adorable. The store Humming has become my favorite store since it's so dang cheap. My skirt and cute tights you can't see are from there. The tights are free the skirt is $1-everything in the store is 30L!!! I stopped myself from buying everything in the store. The sweater is from Stitch by Stitch's advent hunt which cost a $1 and the gloves and scarf from Reek from the Chimney hunt (you have 3 days left DO IT!!!). So my whole outfit cost $2L (not counting hair and such).

My house is full of somewhat primmy Christmas items that will come down soon. LOL I'll have to put more furniture in. I have been thinking about buying land that may have more prims and stumbled across a nice piece of land with quite a bit of prims for fairly cheap but I don't know the whole buying land thing seems to complicated for me to have to worry about plus I love where I live now. I just found too many prefab homes that are adorable :) Plus I know I would become the dog lady and buy more animals.

Oh and hey for everyone who has Adobe reader I got this email yesterday saying Adobe is hurting computers (yeah there's a reason but ok technology mumbo jumbo blah blah) so you may want to do these steps

I don't know if it's true but I got a freaked out message from my virus protector today saying something to the effect that this bad thing was attacking me and it had adobe in the name soooooooooo.... my computer hasn't died yet.

I feel like I was really dramatic and all I'm leaving SL for good crap... but I really did think my computer was going kaput. I'm not one of those people that is all like I'm not coming back ever again and then show up 3 days later going I'm back.

Had to show a picture of my Magika hair. Love it so much-it has lights-too cute. It covers my right eye though so I had to lose the glasses. I really like Magika and it has lots of cute hair but alot covers the eyes that I don't really care for.

My eyes are from Hoot-They were 50L too the other day don't know if they still are. They were called like Holiday dazzle or something neat like that-there's flecks of colors in the eyes.

And oh my god I want a sheep for my house-screw the damn chickens!!! This was found somewhere on my chimney hunt hunting. Took forever for it rez oh and look there's the book you're looking for. It was so cute and not that primmy will have to look for the owner so I can buy it.

No computer crash yet-haven't decided if I want to start the picture thing again.

Missing inventory=Heart attack for Amie

So I log into SL yesterday and look at my inventory count-16000 what??? No no no I have over 17000 I know it so I browse my folders and a BUNCH are empty. Not only are folders empty but it seems purposely the ones that I wear/use often. Basically all my ivalde clothes are gone, my lovely Free Speerit skins are missing. I'm having a heart attack b/c not only does my computer suck but I'm missing inventory. So I of course google missing second life inventory and it doesn't really say anything but check your lost and found-umm thanks but it did say clear you cache. Now I try to do that when I remember but I figure what the hell I'll do it. Well what do you know it worked it took like 10 minutes for everything to load but it was all there. Heart attack avoided.

Here's the link for the information on what to do which is filled with a bunch of Amie doesn't understand that. Just in case (hopefully you don't) you ever need it.

Maybe the big man is telling me to stay away from SL...

In other news since I got a nice cheat notecard for the Down the Chimney hunt I have been quickly flying through that hunt-some really cute items that I have opened and seen in blogs.

Computer update

Well I don't know what the heck is going on with it. It kept dying on me-freezing then going to a blue screen and yelling at me by making a clicking noise. Well it hasn't done it since Tuesday and then I restarted and did microsoft updates and when it came back on it said malicious items were removed. It hasn't died since then. So don't know. I still haven't really been back on SL b/c that's when it seems like it makes the most noise in my modem-Sigh.

I hate technology.

So my computer hates me and will start making a ticking noise and go to a blue screen. Now my computer died in a virus almost a year ago so I'm freaked by blue screens. So needless to say my SL addiction is taking a slight vacation :(

So anyway I won't be posting pictures and stuff until I found out what is wrong or until I get my laptop in a few weeks. I'm supposed to be getting a Christmas/Graduation present.

I do distance learning so I have to travel 3 hours to do my 10 minutes speech so yeah I will be in the car more than anything.

In 24 hours my butt will be getting up to travel to do my speech for my internship-all I need to do is pass that and then I will graduate!!! So it's a big deal.

Oof so bad at pictures lol. My adorable snowman boots are from SSUS and was last years POE gift. My jeans are the advent gift from Ivalde-ahhh love Ivalde so so much. And yeah I'm in the same sweater from like 4 days ago but I have changed since then lol.

So being bored and doing nothing tonight I decided hey POE starts tomorrow so let me just check to see if any gifts are out. Well there is and I got a few gifts already. There are I think 400 stores again-maybe so it's a LONG but so worth it. :)

I went to Marinoco today to get this dress for $1 if you are a group member-but do it because if it's still the same if you join you get a free dress of your choice. Too cute, and then I started wandering around the sim. I feel in love with this place last year during the POE hunt (Amie-official promoter for the hunt). There are so many places to sit. Above the store there are a bunch of different themes islands to explore too.

And sorry for my emo post yesterday LOL. I need more sleep.

This is the Mayflower in SL. No I don't have a slurl I had it and then I copied something else and I forgot. My pose is a bit Titantic King of the World thing but I'm too short and it didn't look good lol. I'm feeling a bit sick in RL my body is achy and my throat hurts :(

I'm supposed to be getting up and going shopping tomorrow-we'll see. Speaking of shopping-oh I'm going to have 0L left after the 50L Friday huge sale. I don't even want to know how many stores are participating. I saw the list and it is a bunch!

I love Lucky Boards, I do I love a good freebie-however lucky boards HATE the letter A-hate, loathe, spit at it-say what you want. Every once in a while I will walk into a store with an A on the board and it is usually an item I will never wear. Like on the one of the hunts A's kept coming up in a neko store that had a bunch of people waiting. I don't think I kept the items (although maybe they are somewhere in my inventory).

I should probably just buy the sweater here at S@bbia because it is actually on sale because sometimes items are only in the boards. Sigh... Oh and my cute coat is from this store too-Love the button detail on the front.

And omg have I talked about the POE hunt. There's a few flickr pictures up and from what I have seen ah great prizes. Look at this:

So yeah I work at Franks if you don't know. I've been there since last March, it's all right for the most part. Some people can be ruder than my job in RL.

Here's a better look at my shape-Holy Boobage Batman-hmm this may change. It's the dang Belleza skin (love it, and I joined before the fee-ah another POE find from last year). This is a horrible pose also-*pumps fist*-I am the best photo taker EVER!

Internship is done-really sad about that.

As you can tell I haven't gone out much in SL since the last like 5 pictures are at my house. I've been so busy hardly logging on-2 more weeks.

Ugh the holiday season means lots of food-which means watching weight is hard to do. I baked cookies Friday and today already. It's better when I bake though because I tend not to eat them. Tomorrow is last day of my internship *tear. At least I learned that I still want to do this whole library thing.

Can't really tell in the picture but I have a new shape. I got it for a few lindens at McSkin while stalking the lucky board a few weeks back (never got the blasted sweater though, I swear boards hate A's). I modified it a bit and it was cute. But a little while after wearing it my eye looked wonky-what the hell. It's like the white part of the eye isn't there in my left eye. I snapped this picture like an hour before it happened and it looked fine.

Please share your reasons why this would have happened. I tried relogging no go, and I put on my old shape and my eyes are fine. Oh well.

I'm going to be so busy in the next few weeks-with Thanksgiving coming next week, my last day of my internship is Monday, I work the next two days and then I'm on vacation for almost 2 weeks. But I will have to work on my final speech but then I'm done.

POE is coming up soon, omg so excited, don't know why maybe because this all started my SL hunts last year. Flickr pictures from items on the hunt are starting to come up and all the store listings are there-unfortunately not on the list are two stores that I found last year and still love. Bingo (although I don't think this is store anymore really-is attached to Elate though) and Shirohato (cutest clothes ever!!!). I'm happy Ivalde is still in it-omg last year they gave a present every day until christmas. Ahh memories that's when I was cheap-o no money, zyngo playing noob.

I plan on (yeah right) cleaning some inventory before the 8 billion hunts next month.

So my little take a stand lasted a week lol, and I shopped on 50L Friday sue me.

No I've just been super busy in RL. I graduate in a few weeks and have to plan an (EEK!!) speech and I'm nearly through with my internship (tear) and have began applying for jobs. Once I get a full time job I think SL may go away. I don't know though.

I will first spend all my money on the day after thanksgiving Fifty Linden Fridays. Like 50 stores will have a 50L sale, omg take my money.

So just been basically logging in to work in SL. I did on a boring night find a penguin avie and bounced around with that a bit.

I look so sad, no?

And finally here's a picture of me today with cute clothes, the glasses are from deco-love them.

The sweater is 1L from somapop, it is so cute, sorry no lm in SL listening to Skye Galaxy (search for him he is fantastic!!) and can't figure out how to make it into a link LOL.

I would do the picture a dayfor a year thing because I think it's cool, but do I think I'll be around in a year-probably not-too much going to happen in RL by next year.

Will be more exciting once I graduate in holy shit 3 weeks :))!!!!!!

I think that pretty much sums me up lately-Haven't really done much lately except go online tool around a bit and then log off. In RL I'm starting to look for full time jobs since I will be done with my internship at the end of the month. I

I started the Changing of the Seasons hunt b/c it's short and it gives store names so if I can't find the item in a few minutes I tp to the next store. I saw pictures with some cute outfits so I thought it was worth it. Otherwise you could the 18 million other hunts going on right now. I am pretty good on going through hunt items I force myself too, although on Sunday I went through the two Valentine hunts I never opened and just deleted items if I didn't know the store of if the name of the item didn't appeal to me. I figured hey I never opened so I will never know. I really think I should start throwing stuff away after I wear it once.

I took down my few Halloween items and tried to find some Thanksgiving ones at the few places I go to but they are already decorated for Christmas0-What?! . Now I know I want to decorate my house out (sorry Tobes you may be sleeping in my inventory for a bit) but it's a bit early. I haven't even thought about Christmas in RL-sigh. I did stumble upon a turkey for like 10L in someone's yard I swear LOL and left up some pumpkins.

So I got a mean message from Flickr last week saying that I can only hold 200 pictures and I'm at 170 now. I deleted a few (omg I'm putting you to sleep right) Because of that no pictures today LOL. I guess I'm going to have to just take pictures from my computer for blog posts.

OMG-Run to Ivalde

So in my many notices today I saw one from Ivalde that said 63 items are 100L. So I was like ok I'll go find like one thing. Well apparently my brain was broken because holy crap I could spend 6300 and actually more because if the dress has more than one color they are all 100L.

I have only bought one thing so far-a black gown from L'Abel (which was originally 500l I was looking longingly at the gowns this morning when I bought the Beat the Monday blues item)

I love love LOVE Ivalde and have since the beginning of Amie's SL when I stumbled across the store and bought a cute outfit for a linden. I found the store again during the POE hunt and that was also when the store was giving away presents all throughout December-cute little dresses that Amie wore to death and still does (why do I have all these new clothes and end up wearing the same things over and over again)

So the sale runs until Nov. 1 so get there NOW!!!

What I love about SL

So over the weekend I was talking to a friend about SL. I explained to her what it was and what goes on to which I got a blank stare and a "why do you play it" comment. I really don't know why I keep coming back. I joined SL for a library school class and thought it was going to be a stupid assignment. A year later and I'm still here. I don't know it's a nice escape, I get to dress in cute clothes that I wish I had in RL and I have met some really great people that live all over the world. I get to listen to some awesome musicians and just dance around and look silly.

So I decided to do a little thing every week (which probably won't happen) on things I love about SL-why because well why not.

So my first thing is.....

My glasses :)

Sort of lame but yeah you know. Glasses were my first purchase in SL. I don't know why I needed glasses maybe because I wear them in RL and tried to look a bit like myself but a year later and I still have them. I have always worn them I will take them off for a little while but I always put them right back on because I think little Amie looks weird without them (yeah and this is probably when people are telling me-maybe you have been in SL for too long..) I've had three pairs of glasses in SL that I have worn. My first pair which I think I edited to heck and were permanently crooked on my face were from Americamura, which I could find a lm for b/c the one I had was not the store-they were 100L when I searched for cheap glasses back then . My second pair were from Arai which I couldn't find a lm for either it just brought me to a street with stores around it sigh , and my third and the ones I wear now are from Nala.

Not many people wear glasses in SL-but then not many do in RL either. I don't know if it's just because I wear them in both worlds, but I'm always more fond of men who wear glasses LOL.

My love posts will get better-I've just had people this week tell me I should get rid of my glasses and then maybe I would find a man in SL (LOL I didn't know them very well and no I'm not looking for a man in SL).

Have you found out about 50 Linden Fridays!!!! I finally joined the group last week and after a few extremely LAGGY places today I was ready to give up but for but I'm glad I didn't. Run and go get this jewelry set from Miel before midnight Friday night.

I love it so much it's so pretty, and well if you know me you know I LOVE flowers so it was perfect. The picture is sort of pixulated. I was trying to be all artsy (Thanks my new friend Bob LOL trying to compete against your pictures from Thursday night) but they just came out dark. I played around with Photoshop a bit and got it lighter. And oh my god I think I have man hands-oh well LOL.

I also accidentally deleted at least one post b/c I was getting rid of drafts oh well sigh. I don't know which one I did though because yeah.

(If this post seems unusually peppy I think its from all the candy I have been eating all day-damn Halloween).

Oh and I still never found the blasted JJ Janes pumpkin oh well. The place is too laggy.

New House and Happy Fall!

Hmm I had written a post about how smells in RL remind me of what I was doing in SL but I will not bore you with that, instead here's pictures of my new house.

It's small and cute, my pictures suck b/c sl hates rezzing for me lately ho hum. I should be a good blogger and post slurls of my lovely halloween stuff but most of it is from Holiday Bliss and the other's are from some store that I can never remember the name of and only remember to find it when I run across it in a hunt. I'll find it and edit my post.

Also I was picking and choosing places to do in the Pumpkin Prints hunt (thanks to Ms. Susa, she posts pictures of hunt prizes). I was trying to find Number 14 because I had a nice deck in the back but I can't find it for the life of me, so if anyone is doing it send me a hint or figure out this one that is on the official hunt blog.

So I haven't posted in like 2 weeks. There is no reason why I've been lazy and trying to get my internship stuff typed out and cross stitching ornaments for Christmas (I once had an boyfriend tell me-you cross stitch...but that's for old people..sigh It's fun)

So my first rez day was October 4. I wore the title flipper thing that Banana's Hubby gave me (I don't know you real name or it's slipped my mind sorry) and since I was not online most of the day wore it to work and then I was tired and logged off. Uneventful really. I took a few pics of me on that day and found a super old one that some guy took of me in the beginning but I never got around to post anything. I may do a belated celebration.

So what have a been up to... Well I'm working the Frank Elite club now a couple days a week. Free membership until the end of the week IM me for group tag-the place is gorgeous check it out. I moved to a new smaller house because I work with the owner and it was cheap LOL. But mostly because the sim is beautiful. I'll post pictures when I'm not too lazy to do so. Since I moved I need more furniture because my old furniture is just no good right? :) I just bought a few things. I'm still decorating around for Halloween but I don't want to decorate too much and be the tacky house on the sim (wait for Christmas though). All right RL work is calling me so I gotta run.

Here's an old picture of Toby because I like posting pictures. It's super old because that's my first house I rented, but it's on my flickr and probably on the blog somewhere I'm just too lazy to go through my pictures on my computer.

Or and since two people google Oracul AO and found me I have to say I love the AO-go buy one it's one of the cheapest AO's I have seen. At least check it out. I hope that is the store name I honestly don't know.

I guess it is October and we should be celebrating breasts but come on.

U2 Concert

I LOVE U2, love them. They are my favorite band. Right after I joined SL I joined the group U2 in SL. It's one of the only groups that I joined right away that I'm still in now. Every so often the group will hold concerts with the band. The avs look like that band and the concert stage is put together how the stage is in RL. I saw U2 in rl 2 weeks ago in Chicago. I had floor tickets so I was close to the band (heaven!!).

Anyway the U2 concert yesterday in SL. Unfortunately I was busy and only went for about 30 minutes but I got a few good pictures.

Things I found out about SL by Amie Adamski

So yeah this is probably obvious to EVERYONE but I found out two things today about the mini-map. /me Happy Fists

So apparently the little green dots tell you exactly where someone is meaning is they are a complete circle they are on the same level as you. If they are an up arrow they are above you and a down arrow they are below you (did I explain it nicely-probably not). I never knew this I just assumed the arrow pointed the way they were moving-Slaps Head.

And I also found out if you hover your mouse over the green dots you can see who that green dot is. When did this happen? So cool when you are trying to find someone, like when I'm working and have to find crazy noob who comes running in in non-formal wear.

Who says you can't learn things in SL?

Decorating for fall

So a few months ago when I became a SL adult and started renting a house rather than changing in public one of the things I was most excited for was decorating for the holidays. I joined SL before Halloween last year (rez day Oct 4 coming up), so the holidays were in face. When I did the POE hunt, the first hunt of MANY, I got to see all the Christmas decorations people had up and for sale. I love to decorate with snowman in RL and they are so many around SL also.

Anyway, I started putting up fall decorations in the middle of August. I have a scarecrow and fall trees and leaves all around.

I also took a picture of the tree behind me because it's so pretty. I saw it while shopping at Intrigue Co (also where I got my Grover sweatshirt from). It's from Mudshake. If you have never been there-go it's so so pretty. I couldn't find it there so I bugged the owner Isolahara Catteneo to tell me where it was. She got back to me within 12 hours I swear but still apologized for the late response because she was on a business trip in RL. Too nice. The tree cost only 95L which is awesome. It poofs off little leaves also.

I have other trees that I didn't put there that was there when I rented that I wish I could temporary get rid of b/c the tree is sort of hidden oh well.

Other than that I haven't been online much lately because I don't know I'm just getting bored of SL. My RL has been so freaking busy lately and I've been so tired so I haven't been doing much. This picture sums it up since in RL I have just been going around lazing in comfy clothes.

Oh and the internship is going good, I don't feel like a complete idiot---most of the time :-P

9/11 Memorial

Hmm don't know how to start this post, so I'll share my RL experience with 9/11...

It was my first semester of college, I didn't go away to school so I was at home in bed just waking up because I had to go to class at probably like 10 or 11. My mom was already up and had on the news. I could hear the tv going and people beginning to talk about planes and crashes. I got up and went out to the living to see what happened. My mom told me a plane hit the WTC. I asked on purpose? We then both watched as the other plane hit and gasp. I got ready for school and as I drove there the radio stations were talking about what was going on. At school tvs were everyone and the tv room was packed. My first class got cancelled because my professor's brother was either in NYC or at the Pentagon (the day is blurry at times). I head to the tv room where they show the tower's falling and people running. I get up and go the bathroom and cry because it was scary and I didn't know what was going on. I think that's what happened most of the day-everyone was glued to the tv not really knowing what was going on.

So anyway I wanted to see how SL was honoring 9/11 and although most was hey come list to Jim secondlifer sing his covers of Jack Johnson and the Doobie Brothers as we honor those lost in 9/11-where your red, white and blue. There was also some prayer services.

I did find on the New York sim a WTC memorial. I went and it was nice but full of people asking for money. I don't know if it's up all the time. But if you venture away from the crowd it's nice and moving. If you turn on the radio stream you can hear the names of everyone who died being read. I didn't get very good pictures as it was very laggy.

There's a flag for each victim-representing the country where they were from. These were all over and this picture only shows a small part.

I had never been to the WTC before 9/11 but I visited a friend in NYC after and we went there. The whole thing was very surreal. There were people taking pictures of essentially a huge hole. There were people with pictures of loved ones around everywhere. It was just odd and emotional. I got teary eyed just going to the SL memorial.

I would recommend visting-I don't know if the memorial is up all the time. I think the tower memorial would probably be I'm not sure about the flags though.

Symphony

So last night I decided I need to do what I orginally started the blog for. So I browsed the showcase and found a place to go. I chose Symphony because I love the nature sims, so I decided to see what it had.

There are so many pretty places. You teleport around by a map that is located everywhere.

Naturally my first place I chose was the library. It was all right. There was a piano that I played with mostly.

Hot no :)-Hot boots at least from Periquita :)

Next I visited the lighthouse. Ok builders here is an suggestion for Amie-Don't do spiral staircases b/c little Amie can never get up them. I should have taken a picture-I ended up just flying from the outside. Sigh...

There is a little pond near the lighthouse where you can feed the ducks.

One of the best parts is the reef-omg I loved it. I think I may have to turn into a mermaid. This picture does not do it justice at all.

The island also has a little place with a bunch of flowers and butterflies flying around. Really pretty. I should have take better pictures of my bathing suit-it's so cute.

Baths which reminded me of the Roman baths I went to when I was in Europe years ago.

And a few waterfalls.

The place is really pretty, there's couple poseballs all over and the island plays well symphony music but when I was there earlier it was playing jazz music. A nice place to sit and just listen to the music.

Oh and the place is full of animals, horses and dolphins and my little reindeer friend and a HUGE WHALE!!

So apparently or at least the word around SL is the whole Brazil missing girl thing is a hoax so yeah-but hey apparently if you search with keywords, brazil missing girl SL my blog comes up first-Yay!! So hello to my gullible friends who believe rumors on SL welcome to my little blog :)

Anyway I visited one of the showcase places tonight and took a bunch of pics but too lazy to write anything about tonight since it is 1230 and I have to get up in 7 hours. Since my blog was supposed to be about neat places in SL I figured I should start doing them again.

I'll post my two favorite pictures though :)

It's a freaking reindeer how cool is that. I tried riding it but I couldn't. BOOO. There was also horses all around too but I couldn't ride them either although if you click on them you get notecard saying you could. I want to ride a horse.

And here's me looking cute-although dark I need to learn how to play with windlight.

I had to mute a dumb guy who was following me around while I was trying to take my reindeer picture and then he followed me EVERYWHERE!!

Random thoughts

So over the weekend I lost my internet-yeah no big news-but that made me think about SL in general. I don't know how many people are like me, but out of your friend list how many people on that list do you know their first names? How much personal information do you know?

I know hardly any-which is scary-I have a few people that I talk to consistantly and one or two I'm not really sure of their first names. Why? I don't know it never came up I guess. But since they live so far away and I don't know much information about them then what would happen if they just didn't log on for days, weeks, months. What could I do then? I wouldn't know what happened to them, they could have just stopped coming online, they could have lost their internet like me-or something else more serious could have happened (I'm not saying what because it's too sad). I'm the type of person where if you friend me I will be your friend for life, even if I don't know you very well I will be sad if you disappeared or if something happened to you in RL. It's just how I am I feel bad about everything.

I'm not expecting people to tell other's everything about each, I don't think I ever would, I won't be friends on facebook with them or anything-I guess I would say keep SL in SL.

I got a notice today from one of my groups about this girl in Brazil I believe who has been missing for four days, before she went missing she had told someone that she was going to meet someone from SL. It's a sad story.

I don't know if I'm adequately explaining what I'm trying to say, but just think about it-I mean you can be as close to someone as you want it's your SL.

And also I don't know if the missing girl story is true, but if you EVER meet someone from SL or from the internet in general-please be careful-you never know and that is what is scary. Get someone to go with you meet them in the most public place possible. Just b/c he's lovey dovey super hubby in SL doesn't mean he's not creep-o dude in RL.

Just my 2 cents for the day.

Back online

Sign...back online after only a few days. What was wrong?

My mother freaking modem was dead-and yeah this is the 3rd modem in the 2 years I have had fast internet (I previously was using aol dial-up, as slow as it was I didn't have to deal with having no internet).

So anyway I got back online and had how many emails??? 43 in regular and 36 in spam-holy crap, I checked my email Sunday morning-you sure do get a lot of crap emails in SL or maybe it's just my subscribe-o-matic habit that I join them all.

Ahh so anyway back online and will post again later...or three weeks from now probably :)

Oh btw not homeless paid my rent last week apparently :)

Penguins!!!!

So yeah I said yesterday I posted Google Analytics to see if people actually read my site-I got a few and only about 1/4 was from me :)

So one of the neat things it does is keep track of how people get your website and how they search. So two were not that exciting and self explanatory but one was weird-it was penguin follower lsl (I have no clue what lsl is though...). So I thought hmm where the heck did I talk about penguins and do I love them.

Well I guess I do-well I have love for my SSUS pengy pumps at least and wrote of that, but since I'm a penguin follower Here's some pics for you:

The penguins go around my head, I got them around valentine's day. The shirt I got last week at Avantmelon for 15L If sl would let me tp away from penguin land I could give you a slurl (I told you I was the best fashion blogger in SL).

My shoes are also little penguins-left foot has a penguin girl the right has a boy too cute.

So I really don't have much penguin stuff. The spot I was at had a tiny penguin avatar but I crashed before I could buy it. It also had penguin pets you can hold.

In RL news-has everyone seen the people of walmart website? I would post the link here but the website has been down for days b/c everyone wants to laugh at the people (ooh that might be mean). But check it out and maybe the site will be back up.

Google Analytics and new Furniture

Because of Emerald- /me waves to Emerald I decided to put google Analytics on my blog mostly because I want to see the crazy search ways people get to my site but sadly my blog is not popular b/c I guess I'm not a sl celebrity or very witty (btw b/c I'm a dorky librarian I googled sl and read articles and stuff on it-did you know Callie Cline was on Maxim's hot list in 2007, well the girls for SL was like number 95 or something and she was chosen as person to show off I guessI was entertained by that), but I did get 5 views in a day with only 2 being me Yay for me!!! Oh and I do have 3 followers now-Hi Banana and Angela :) I keep forgetting to take pictures of the dress Banana made because of my obsession with flowers-that's right I inspired something, in your face Truth hair people (in reality I would die if Truth named a hairstyle after me).

Anyway so my point to the blog-well there isn't really one-I haven't really been doing anything in SL. A bunch of hunts started yesterday and I started one but got through 2 places and gave up. I give up on hunts I'm just going to places where I know the store.

Oh but speaking of hunts The Heart and Sole sim had a hunt last week and I found a new store that I absolutely adore, it's called Sommerfeld Designs-I got a living room set for for only 100l. The items I looked at in the store were around that price 100-150. Now I admit it is REALLY primmy and since I only 150 prims where I rent I had to rearrange some items in my house.

Internships

Ahh so I started my internship which is great because that means in December I will be done with grad school. Although I hate starting new jobs/internships which ever because they know what you need to do but they are never prepared enough for you to completely be able to do everything and they sort of let you be to stare at the wall or in my case leave me w/o a computer for a few weeks. Yeah although it was a billion times better when I worked my retail job after I graduated with my undergrad when the manager bitched about having to train me and then left me to train with the crazy old lady who kept telling me I was doing everything wrong in front of patrons (ah I so don't miss my retail job, I even secretly wish the store will file bankruptcy).

Anywho I haven't been doing much in SL, I have been going to more live music performances. When I first joined SL I lived at these events. I love seeing live music in RL and it is similar in SL I can just sit on my computer in my pjs while my little Amie looks all cute :). These performers are fantastic. If you have never seen a live performance go now!!! I recommend the Gaslight (I lived there in early Amie days, although don't go much now) or Pannie's. Again if I was good blogger I would post slurls but yeah whatever.

In closing here is my little vulgar tobes :)

Although the scarecrow looks like he enjoys it. I started decorating for fall, do I want fall to come-heck no, but I can't wait to decorate my house. I promise to wait until Oct. to decorate for Halloween. And then Christmas, my house is going to be crazy Griswold decorated, well not that bad I only have 150 prims and toby takes 24 :)

Next up: I do have to take pics of Toby b/c the new A.I.F update included sunglasses-off to the beach with Toby :-P Ahh I'm such a loser b/c I'm so excited-off to find more friends.

Cleaning inventory

Well since my class in rl sucked bad I haven't been on SL much lately. I finally finished though and now I feel like I don't know what to do with myself. I have wandered around SL some but I finally started cleaning out my inventory. I went with this idea if I don't remember it trash it-however easier said than done. I'll find something and go yeah I remember that and keep it :) I still have both valentine hunts that need to be opened. One day I was just going to delete it all but then I remembered no there are few things I like in those folders. I'll get to it eventually. I know I was looking at an upcoming hunt list and saw POE again-ah POE which started my hunt love last December. There's stores that I still go to all the time that I found on that hunt-Ivalde, Shirohato, Bingo (although bingo is really small now :(), SSUS (omg I fell in love with the penguin heels and the frostie boots, can't wait for winter again). I'm sure there is so many more and if I was a good blogger I would post slurls but alas I am not. I was a noob back then and saved up my zyngo money to buy clothes from those stores and I still shop there. The hunt really helped my fashionbility in SL. Anyway what was I rambling-oh yeah I hope my inventory is smaller by POE because the blog said there's a limit of 365 or 465 stores!!! Yeah that's alot.

Well I can sort-of be relieved. I finally got test results back from my little medical drama and it's all fine. It has been a worry since May and a loooonnnnnnnnggggggg dragged out process.

So anyway in between homework from my massive summer school class (procrastinating a bit right now since have homework due), I'm still going away at the Slice of Summer hunt and reading the freebie blogs. I saw these boots from Sentou Yousei and went I so want those. I have a slight hate relationship with this place because they are awesome boots, but A's never come up or one time when I was trying to get one some girl was clicked on the chair and I think either got an A or a question mark. I hate when people do that, I'd rather just try to be fast. So anyway I poped over there to see the letter and it was like Y or Q and had 15 min. left. So I went back home and opened more slice of summer gifts. I had forgotten all about it for like another 25 min. I went back just to see and the freaking chair actually had an A on it.

I love these boots so much I never want to take them off. Sure they have a half naked woman on it and the store's name branded on it but they are awesome. There's spur attachments too which I haven't worn yet. I should go hop on the horses that are by my house :-P. Oh and my couch in the background a gift from the summer hunt, love it.

So anyway I also joined the Kungler's group because I love this dress.

I noticed the sim next to it had some really cool buildings so I flew over to it. It was called Japan something I think. But anyway I got on the bicycle cart thingy.

Hunting and camping

So I always say I will never do another hunt-but then every month there is a new one and I start it. I have been good though-I start them and then don't finish, or I just pick up gifts from stores I like. But the Slice of Summer hunt has so much cute stuff in it (plus a very nice hint website) I am flying through the hunt.

So anyway today I was hunting and suddenly my face disappears.

Creepy right I don't know what happened. I went into appearance mode and it was fine.

Anyway on my hunt (#51 to be exact) I popped into K's House & K'+ m Shop. This store has been in a few hunts so I'm sure I have stuff in my inventory from them. If you have never been-go-there are so many little pose balls like a trampoline and hopscotch (which is called something else). I'm mad I forgot about this store b/c I was looking for a swing a little while back and they have 2 nice ones. Oh well.

So after I picked up the gift I saw a camping station thingy for a cute table and chairs. I exercised for 15 min. to get-so funny. Ah the little things that make me laugh.

Oh so yeah like my outfit, it cost me a grand total of $1-only the shoes from Chuchuclet.

Such a long time

Well my whole post a picture a day thing lasted what a day. Ha. I have an excuse. I had been sick since like May, sick in a way I won't go into on my blog, in fact only like 5 people know and most not until after I was poked a bunch of times by doctors. You see I HATE going to the doctor, hate it. All they do is make you feel worse because you can go as soon as you start getting sick and it's still too late or you could have done something not to get sick. But my little sickness was not getting better so I finally went. I think it will be fine, I'll find out my results tomorrow.

Anyway so way back around the 4th (which I guess was just last week) I took pics to celebrate.

I will have to make this short, since I'm sick in RL and just want to go crawl in bed.

I had fun doing the challenge. It made me blog which I had previously not really done. And I may just change my blog to me rambling about sl :)

I have really no clue what the hair fair is, that starts tomorrow I think, but I keep getting notices about it and I am excited since most of my money spent is on hair :) I have already seen a few styles I like, but I will have to limit myself otherwise I will have to rent a smaller house lol.

BBBC 5-Shape it up

Anyway today is post anything you want day so.........

Last night was the BBBC party and I went because I love dancing anywhere in SL. Although I think the whole concept of rave went over my head because I was terrible overdressed (I love my Bingo dress, if you go to the Elate store visit the tiny store attached) but whatever, I had fun dancing anyway. The place was really prett- so many colors and I should have taken more pictures of the actual party but I was being lazy last night.

I just wish I wasn't so damn shy sometimes and would have talked and actually met people, oh well. I guess if you normally shy in RL you can't really bust out and be all crazy social in SL.

For the past few weeks I have been trying to find a new shape because about a month ago when I was talking to someone I realized the shape I have is the default one given to you when you start. I messed around with it in the beginning and then I doubt I did anything else really much. I think I look cute I guess. I had tried shapes here and there that I got but I never cared for them-they either made me look like amazon woman or the face looked ugly to me. I don't care for the eyes in any of the shapes-they are small, I like my big eyes.

Last week a store was having a sale so I was trying on demos, well dumbass me wasn't paying much attention and accidently bought the shape and the not the demo (thankfully the shapes were on sale for $150L). I tried it on and it was all right. I can't find the lm for the place, the lm with the shape brings me to houses to rent, so sorry but it's called Lelutka.

Oof what a bad picture, it is a pretty shape and I'm sorry that I can't find more information.

Last night I decided to buy one of the Cupcakes grab bags mostly for the skin since I loved the lip color and I got a shape, cute yeah but I don't know.

I messed with the eyes a bit, but nothing else really.

I always seem to go back to my default one.

Although I guess my shoulder are too wide :)-oh well.

I think I may skip the next qeustion because I honestly have no clue who I would change places with. I'm afraid if I say someone I don't know it would seem like I'm stalking them. So I just blab a bit.

I think I'm going to start a picture a day post because well typing long posts just doesn't cut it for me. Mostly because I have so much RL to do. I'm taking two summer school classes this summer and they are kicking my butt. But I do always seem to pop into sl for a bit to check notices and ims. Pictures may be fun-a way to remember things in SL.

I think I have about another year to play around in SL than situations in RL will make me stop. I might still be able to but not as often. I don't mention SL much to people in my RL-it doesn't come up. I told a friend about the U2 concert b/c she's a fan but she just thought it was weird. My brother knows about SL and signed up for an account a few months before me but he didn't care for it so his account sits unactive.

Anyway I'll post a few pictures of one of my favorites places in SL-Apollo. It was one of the first places I went to SL and in the beginning I would spend so much time there because I thought it was beautiful.

I love sunsets in SL-it's just one of those things I don't know why :)

Oh and I don't know why my font in the post below is all big-weird crap like that is always happening to me-miss yeah I know how to html code.

I have to make this short b/c I have so much rl stuff to do-

You've been given a sim of your very own to use for free for one year. However, there are 3 rules. It cannot be residential, it cannot be commercial, and it has to be open to the public. What do you do with it?

Simple-a sim full of FLOWERS-fields and fields of them all different colors and types. There will also be paths and places to sit and I would make sure to stream nice music (I have been to some nice-seem to be peaceful places that have techno blaring ick) Dance balls for couples and even single ones b/c I love busting a move by myself-why do you need a partner?

Hello all :)

Today's question is: What is your perfect SL day?

Well like most I would say no lag, no crashes, no stupid people (that last one would make my week).

Other than that-a sale at one of my favorite stores would help too.

But for the most part just spending the say listening to music and playing with Toby. I don't know why Toby makes me laugh but he does. Hmm that may be a little sad lol.

Take last night for instance I was bumming around and earlier in the day I had grew Toby so he was HUGE.

I love that I can carry him around on my shoulder but apparently not if he grows, he's bigger than me.

Toby's from A.I.F. by the way.

Finding cute things also makes it a nice day in SL. Like this hat I found-see I'm a horrible picture taker b/c I probably should have shown the flower on the side. I love flowers, I have yet to really find a really nice place full of flowers (so if you have a landmark send it my way-I'll probably thank you and talk you're ear off though because I'm shy but say hello and I won't shut up).

Eh so yeah I figured WTF and will joine the challenge :) I'm a stalker for alot of SL blogs I just never comment or if I do I comment anonomous-Why I have no clue I think I'm too shy.

So here we go.....

How long have you been on blogger?

Well besides a personal RL blog which I had a few years ago-only since March. I started the blog to highlight some pretty places in SL which may be interesting to librarians (I joined SL taking a library science class, but have ventured way far from anything library). My orginal class included a wiki which I have been borrowing from and taking pictures of the locations since my professor has everyone join SL for her class every semester. But I haven't posted much I know-freebie clothes seem to take up too much of my time and also homework in RL. I'm thinking about just changing the blog and just show random things-like Toby my SL dog who loves sleeping in objects around my house....

Yeah he's in a tree (I don't call myself the best photo taker-I have like 30 of him in my furniture around my house and yeah when I talk to friends it usually includes me going where the hell is Toby)

Has it enriched your life?

Hmm well I don't think I have posted enough-so no. I have gone to a few cool places :)

Purple for RFL

Yesterday (June 1) was Paint Second Life Purple day for Relay for Life (RFL). RFL is HUGE in SL it all started about 3 months ago too and will end in a relay in July. As of today people in SL have donated over $36,000,000. There are donation kiosks all over the place and many stores put clothes in venders that people can buy and support RFL.

Anyway here is what the website said about yesterday.

On the first day of June, if you are going for a stroll or if you are having a party with friends, wear a purple ribbon, toss on purple clothes, turn your house lavendar even - and yell out to the world that you support the fight in against cancer!

This idea came out of a Relay For Life Group Chat, where the subject was about giving support to those who are in the waiting stage in their fight against cancer, pointing out how hard and scary that part is and how support from others helps so much easy, just knowing others are there.

When Jasmine, Zoie, Tari, Kat, Nikkie, Spaci, Jane - relay volunteers - started talking about how in real life whole towns would turn purple to show support for the fight against cancer; they decided it would be an awesome idea to do the same here in SL. Not everyone has money to give or even time to spend, but everyone can wear purple.

COME ON! Purple Day doesn't cost one red cent or one virtual linden. Instead you have the chance to show your support for the fight against cancer just by helping to turn SL purple. Let's show RL that we are ONE WORLD and WE SUPPORT EACH OTHER!

I am apart of a group for RFL, however I am probably not doing enough to support the group as I should. I have done RFL in RL and absolutely loved it.

The Wall

BOOO so not posting been so bad. I blame it on school (had to build and entire website geez) and just bumming around SL.

I meant to post this on Memorial Day since it was fitting but yeah I had computer problems AGAIN over the weekend.

Anyway.

I found The Wall shortly after I joined SL. I'm pretty sure I found the landmark in the Showcase tab. I thought the place sounded so interesting and was surprised when I tped there, that there was no one there (if you actually tp to the places I post probably 90% of them will be empty-hmm guess I'm not hip on the neat places in SL).

The Wall is like the Vietnam Memorial Wall in DC. The place has lots of trees and plenty of seats to just sit and enjoy the surroundings.

There are three main parts to the sim:

The Vietnam Veteran's Women's Statue (I'm sorry the picture sucks)

The Three Servicemen Statue (Again sorry for picture)

And finally the wall.

What is so neat about the Wall is that there are actual names there that you can search in a database. There are databases set up all over.

You click on the database and it will tell you to type in a name. I typed in Thomas (my daddy's name-who also served in Vietnam) and it brought up all the Thomas's that are on the Wall. You then type in the number before the name.

I chose the name Thomas S Alfred. From there the database lets you teleport to right where the name appears on The Wall. The big arrow tells you what row (he was on row 35), so yeah I know it does suck that you have to count down on to find the name (but I assume you have to do that at the regular memorial?) But I did find Thomas.

You can also give presents to the names you search for, so I gave Thomas an American Flag. I don't know who you are Thomas but Happy Memorial Day to you and Thanks for serving our country.

There's also a video you can watch which I couldn't get to work but alas SL usually hates me anyway.

On a side note, in the past I have joined two soldier groups that support the soldiers by sending them stuff they need. The websites were anysoldier.com and soldiersangels.org. The second one is more involved, but for anysoldier I just wrote letters to the soldiers mostly. You don't have to agree with what is going on to write a letter to just let them know you are thinking of them when they are overseas. I admit I haven't done either one in a year and I should start again.

St Louis Arch

Well look what happens when I procrastinate-get a bunch of blogs in a week :)

Like I said before one of the things I like best about places in SL are that they can be so realistic. So today's post is all about the St. Louis Arch.

OOO nice right. Looks just like it.

One of the neat things about this place is it's interactive. Under and around the arch there are kiosks where you can click and go the Arch website and purchase tickets.

Under the arch you can wait in line (which there hardly is every any, not like RL)

You can also click the computer to get information about the arch.

And even though you can't physically go up in a elevator, you can fly up to the top!! I love flying in SL.

There is also a boat right by where you teleport in which just reminds me of McDonald's now I haven't been to the arch in like 12 years so maybe there isn't even a riverboat McDonald's anymore.

Oh and make sure you get a free tee shirt while you are there :)

U2 Concert

I guess since I have some pictures from this I can post it.

Second Life is big on music-whether it is real life people singing, or just dance clubs it is every where. You can use the search button and find events (search live music) this was one of the first things I did.

You can also join groups (up to 25 and if you become addicted to SL you soon realize 25 is not enough). I'm a huge u2 fan in RL so I joined the U2 in SL group. Last December I got a notice that there was going to be a concert. There was going to be avatars that look like the band and they will play music from a concert the band played in RL. Now when I got this I remembered seeing a Youtube video of the concert in SL when I was trying to find another video. When I saw it I had no clue what SL was or what the concert was but it was neat.

So I went to the one in December and last month they had another one.

Anyway-when you first get there you had to deprim (take off all your clothes attachments, I should probably make a SL lingo post). So anyway this is what I look like deprimed.

I actually don't look that bad bald :)

So anyway the concert was so cool. They do special effects with the sky and the avatars do the same thing the band does as if you would have seen them in RL.

So what is the point of this post........Go and listen to some SL music, whether is just a dance club with jazz music or someone actually singing go do it :)
